10/10 - Aiyanna Elorynn: Eladrin Circle of Dreams Druid

Aiyanna

https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/85520440

The druids of the Thranwood rely on Aiyanna's guidance and wisdom to protect the forest & the balance of nature. She is a key voice in their community, and a forceful presence on their council. The recent incursions into the Thranwood have her concerned, and she is pressing for more action from the wardens, however there are some who are not entirely convinced and think that her fey background may be coloring her judgement.

This character was created to give some backstory and a quest giver for the in-person game I DM. I went with the Eladrin to set her apart from the Wood Elves she's surrounded with, and to create a little more strangeness.

10/9 - Kahola Hardshell: Tortle Life Domain Cleric

Kahola

https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/85456735

Kahola Hardshell is a tough old tortle. She has worked as a field medic and healer in relief efforts and conflicts all over Faerun. In the last few years of her life, she has worked secretly with Harper agents to provide aid and respite to areas most in need of her expertise. She has been traveling south of Berdusk in response to dragon cultist activity on the Sword Coast.

This character was my attempt to create the ideal healer to have on your side in a long engagement, I suspect she will appear in the upcoming city siege I have planned.

10/8 - Xeth: Githyanki Aberrant Mind Sorceror

Xeth

https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/85348934

Formerly a Wildspace pirate, Xeth was transported into an extradimensional space during one of their raids and was touched by an alien intelligence beyond the astral sea. Now he serves as an intraplanar emissary doing the bidding of the One Beyond. Now he finds himself on Arcaia, searching for another servant.

Xeth is a mirror in Sorceror of my warlock character Alethyr, I thought the idea that there are other agents of his warlock patron was interesting.

10/7 - Aendor Ulwynn: Astral Elf Horizon Walker Ranger

Ranger

https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/81847218

Aendor Ulwynn is a sentinel in his astral elf settlement following the destruction of his home system. He & his comrades are on constant vigil to counter planar invaders & interlopers. After this cataclysm, his community has become incredibly xenophobic and will attack on sight, rather than risk another incident.

This heritage/class was one I considered playing in a local game, however it seemed like a very niche skillset and I opted to go with a different design.

10/6 - RO/I: Warforged Chronurgy Wizard

Roi

https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/83779966

Restriction Operator Initiative, or RO/I was an attempt to create a battlefield controller during wartime. After being granted independence, they passed into mercenary service and grew obsessed with the uncertainty of a Warforged lifespan. They have been conducting research into the prolonging of their existence, and are seeking the knowledge and path to become a Lich, ensuring their continuance in the world.

The concept for RO/I emerged from the construct nature of warforged, and their uncertainty about their maximum lifespan. I picture them a little like Ultron without access to the internet.

10/5 - Warden Karindyll: Wood Elf Samurai Fighter

Warden

https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/81985044

Warden Karindyll is responsible for training new inductees in the Wardens of the Thranwood. He is a proud warrior, and cares deeply for his charges. His new cadre of trainees is now graduating to the field and may now be in real danger, but only time will tell.

This character is an NPC in the in-person game I DM on an irregular basis, I thought that a knight would be too formal for a defender of the forest. Samurai seem to have a more organic connection to nature, and we'll see what happens in the campaign.

10/4 - Sir Edwarn Cade: Centaur Cavalier Fighter

Horseman

https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/85065423

Sir Edwarn travels along the Sword Coast in the service of the Lords Alliance, acting as bodyguard for an adjudicator of disputes and if necessary, assists in the the apprehension of wanted criminals. He is on his way to Elturgard soon, as there have been numerous incidents involving dragon cultists in the region.

Sir Edwarn is an attempt to build an all-in-one mounted knight, he likely could be optimized a little better but I've built the fewest fighters of any class. He'll likely be an NPC in my adaptation of Hoard of the Dragon Queen.

10/3 - Illarych: Autognome College of Eloquence Bard

Autognome

https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/84977978

Illarych was created to be a translator and negotiator for a gnomish transport spelljammer sailing through the Astral Sea. Picking up skills from clients of the ship, he was captured by Githyanki pirates and pressed into their service. Now he's taken over negotiating the sale of their plunder and always gets the most favorable deals.

This character concept was inspired by combining C-3PO and R2-D2 into a spelljammer package.

10/2 - Telyriel Indome: Astral Elf Soulknife Rogue

Telyriel stats summary

https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/84923015

Telyriel Indome is a former assassin for the Xaryxis Empire. During one of her missions a Banishment spell sent her to the plane that her astral elf parents were traveling through when she was born, Ravnica. Quickly adapting to her new situation, she made her way into the service of House Dimir, which placed her as a spy in the Azorius Senate. In the chaos following Bolas's attempt to overthrow Ravnica, she has made her way to a high position in the Senate and wields considerable influence with that guild.

This character was a class/race combination that I considered playing for an in-person campaign with a new group arranged on discord. I thought the liberal use of psychic blades to make untraceable assassinations would be a compelling narrative, but I wound up going with a different class altogether to try and avoid being fully combat focused. The idea to send her to Ravnica came when brainstorming regions known for heavy political intrigue.

10/1 - Labrys Mora: Minotaur Battle Smith Artificer

Labrys Character sheet

https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/84844442

Labrys Mora is an explorer travelling eastern Faerun, with his arcane focus being his cartographer's tools. He's affixed his surveying telescope to a musket, which carries the Radiant Weapon infusion. He's not combat optimized, but his steel defender Mayes can hold his own long enough for Labrys to get a few key shots off.

This character arose out of a discussion while playing Vermintide & is the first entry in my October character challenge.
